STAP (National Foundation for Alcohol Prevention) is a Dutch NGO and Eurocare member. STAP advocates effective alcohol control policies and works towards greater restrictions on alcohol marketing and provision of objective information about the health and social effects of alcohol consumption.

The Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports, responsible for national alcohol policy.

The Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority is an independent agency in the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LNV) but is also a delivery agency for the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. It is for example responsible for the enforcement of the age limit for selling alcohol.

Dutch Advertising Code Foundation is a self regulatory body responsible for handling complaints regarding the Advertising code for alcoholic beverages.

The Stichting Informatievoorziening Zorg (IVZ; Foundation for the provision of information on the care of drug addicts) is responsible for the National Alcohol and Drugs Information System (LADIS). The annual key figures reports (‘Kerncijfers’) include the most significant annual key figures on (outpatient) addiction care.

The Netherlands Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Foundation (called FAS Foundation for short) is a recently founded NGO providing information and help.

Statistics Netherlands (CBS) is responsible for collecting, processing and publishing statistics to be used in practice, by policymakers and for scientific research. Statistics Netherlands became an autonomous agency in 2004.

Statline is the electronic databank of Statistics Netherlands (CBS). It contains statistical information on many social and economic subjects in the form of tables and graphs. All the information in StatLine may be consulted, printed and downloaded free of charge.

The Trimbos Institute is the national knowledge institute for mental health care, addiction care and social work. Trimbos Institute is responsible for the National Drug Monitor.

The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) is a recognised leading centre of expertise in the fields of health, nutrition and environmental protection. RIVM works mainly for the Dutch government.

The National Public Health Compass is the gateway to information about health and disease, risk factors, care and prevention in the Netherlands. The compass is a product of The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM).

The Alcohol Documentation Centre (ADC-database) combined with Alcohol Research forms the research project 'Alcohol, Health and Society'. This project is an initiative of the Foundation for Alcohol Research and TNO Nutrition and Food Research.

The Dutch Research Database (NOD) is a publicly available online database with information on scientific research, researchers and research institutes.
